You know you should be a Rec Management Major when...

So today I was walking home from class, and it was absolutely freezing!!! There was freezing wind blowing all over the place, and it was burning my face and making my eyes water, and my body was absolutely miserable. But is that what I was thinking about? No. I was watching the orange and yellow leaves blow around me, and thinking about how much I love fall. Then I started thinking about it and realized that every season is beautiful! Winter with its natural glitter falling from the sky, Spring with the smell of fresh rain and watching nature come back to life, and Summer, with the wildflowers and warm sun shining down. I absolutely adore nature, and everything about it- and I think I've finally figured out why. Nothing in this world- that God created- is ugly. Nature is pure. There are no outside influences to distract you from hearing the Spirit. There is no TV, no video games, no war, no political battles- no ugliness. In my opinion, all the ugliness in the world is created by man. Nature is the one place where I can forget all my problems. There are no deadlines, just me, God, and the wildlife (and anyone else who is with me). This life is so hard, but at least He made the earth beautiful for us! It's just another testimony to me that God and Christ love us. This past week I have been struggling- with school, money, roommates, and my hopes and fears for the future, but then I walked home from class. Despite the long walk through the freezing weather, I had a total epiphany. Yeah, life can sometimes stink, but I actually have it pretty good. After all, I have the knowledge of God and the Savior, and that they love me and know me, I have a loving family who is always looking out for me and loving me no matter how stupid I am. I have a roof over my head, food in my belly, clothes on my back, a decent paying job, and so many academic, spiritual, and life teachers. What are my trials compared to all my blessings?! Thinking about it brings me INFINITE happiness! Can you see the amazing impact that nature can have on a person?

This is Taralyn....

Moses 7:48-50-some of my new favorite scriptures. Read them and love them. :o)
48 And it came to pass that Enoch looked upon the earth; and he heard a voice from the bowels thereof, saying: Wo, wo is me, the mother of men; I am pained, I am weary, because of the wickedness of my children. When shall I crest, and be cleansed from the filthiness which is gone forth out of me? When will my Creator sanctify me, that I may rest, and righteousness for a season abide upon my face?
49 And when Enoch heard the earth mourn, he wept, and cried unto the Lord, saying: O Lord, wilt thou not have compassion upon the earth? Wilt thou not bless the children of Noah?
50 And it came to pass that Enoch continued his cry unto the Lord, saying: I ask thee, O Lord, in the name of thine Only Begotten, even Jesus Christ, that thou wilt have mercy upon Noah and his seed, that the earth might never more be covered by the floods.

Helps me realize why one can feel the Spirit so strongly in nature...because Mother Earth is for real! :D

P.S. The light blue is super hard to read and you should change it.

P.P.S. You are crazy! crazy crazy crazy crazy crazy! ha ha... love you!
